Does your laptop only charge when you hold the plug at a certain angle? Then the charging port has come loose from the mainboard. We solder it back on, in our own workshop in Amersfoort, under the microscope.
How you notice it
It starts with a plug you have to push in. Then it only charges when the adapter hangs at an angle, and in the end not at all. Sometimes the port gets warm, or you see discolouring around the connection.
If that happens, stop using the device on battery and leave the plug alone. A half-detached port can damage the traces on the mainboard, and then the repair gets a lot more expensive.
What we do
We open the device, take out the mainboard and inspect the connection under the microscope. In most cases the port itself is still fine and only the solder joints have come loose; we fix those. If the port has burnt through or a trace is damaged, we replace the part and repair the trace.

Within 3 working days you know what is broken and what it costs. If the repair stays under 100 euro we carry it out right away; your device does not sit waiting for an approval. Above that we call you first and you decide. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you in advance.
