Coffee over the keyboard, a knocked-over glass, or a bag that has been out in the rain. With liquid damage speed is what counts: the sooner the device reaches us, the more can be saved.
What to do right now
Switch the device off immediately. Not neatly through Windows, but by holding the power button for ten seconds. Unplug it. Do not turn it on to see whether it still works, and do not charge it — that is exactly when current runs through a wet board and the real damage happens.
Stand it upside down like a tent, so the moisture runs out instead of deeper in. Rice does not help. Neither does a hairdryer; it pushes the moisture further into the device.
Liquid is not the problem, corrosion is
Clean water dries up and leaves little behind. But soft drinks leave sugar, sweat and seawater leave salt, and those keep eating into the circuit traces — even weeks after the device has dried. So a device that "works again" after a day of drying is not yet saved.
We take out the mainboard and clean it ultrasonically. Then the residue is really gone, not just visibly wiped away.

What it costs and how long it takes
With liquid damage little can be promised in advance; you only see what is underneath once the board is clean. That is why we start with a diagnosis. Within 3 working days you know what is broken, what repair costs and whether it is worth it. If we cannot save it, you pay nothing for the inspection.
If you want a written diagnosis report for your insurer, we will make one. Such a report costs 30 euro, and that amount is waived if you have the repair done by us.
