Moederbord reparatie

No display, no power, or a laptop that shuts down at random? The fault is often on the mainboard, and then a new device is rarely needed. We repair at chip level, under the microscope, in our own workshop in Amersfoort.

How you notice it

A failing mainboard usually announces itself. The laptop no longer starts while the lights are on. It stops charging, or only charges while you hold the plug. The screen stays black while you can hear the fan. Or it simply cuts out under load, often after liquid has been spilled on it.

What we do

We measure the board and trace the cause at component level instead of replacing the whole board. As a rule that saves hundreds of euros. Under the microscope we replace individual parts: charging circuits, voltage regulators, burnt traces, detached connectors and in many cases the BGA chips themselves.

  • Repairing the charging circuit and power section
  • Tracing short circuits after liquid or impact damage
  • Resoldering a detached charging port
  • Reballing or replacing BGA chips
  • Repairing damaged circuit traces

When it is worth it

Not every mainboard is worth repairing. On an eight-year-old device with heavy damage we will say so, and then we look at a suitable refurbished alternative together. On a three-year-old business laptop, repairing is almost always the wiser choice.

What it costs and how long it takes

Within 3 working days you know what is broken and what it costs. If the repair stays under 100 euro we carry it out right away. Above that we call you first and you decide. If we cannot repair it, you pay nothing.
