A cracked screen, lines through the picture, or a display that stays black while the device starts up normally. We replace laptop screens of all brands, with parts that match the resolution and hinge type of your model.

How you notice it

The obvious cases are visible: a crack, a spreading ink stain, or a corner that stays black. The subtle ones are harder. Vertical or horizontal lines that come and go. A picture that flickers when you move the lid. Or a screen that stays dark while you can just make something out in bright light — that usually means the backlight has failed, not the panel.

What we do

First we establish whether the fault is in the panel, the cable or the mainboard. That matters, because a cable is a lot cheaper than a screen. Then we fit a panel with the same resolution, the same number of pins and the same mounting as the original.

• Replacing the panel for cracks, stains or dead pixels
• Replacing the display cable for flickering or lines
• Checking the backlight on a dark screen
• Inspecting hinges and lid housing
• Replacing the touch layer on models that have one

What it costs and how long it takes

The price depends mostly on the panel: a plain HD screen is far cheaper than a 4K touch panel. Within 3 working days you know what it costs. If we have the panel in stock it is quick; if it has to be ordered, we say so in advance.

Watch out for hinge damage. If the screen cracked because the hinge is seizing, we replace the hinge as well. If you skip that, the new screen will break again within months.
