Virus verwijderen
Popups appearing out of nowhere, a browser that changes its own home page, or a computer that suddenly takes minutes to start. We clear it up, in a way that keeps your files.
How you notice it
The obvious signs are advertising windows, a search engine you did not set yourself, or a message telling you to call a helpdesk. That last one is always fake — do not call the number, and never give access to your computer to someone you did not contact yourself.
Subtler signs are a fan that keeps running while you do nothing, a connection that feels slow, or programs starting by themselves. That can be malware, but it can just as easily be a full disk or a dying drive. We find out which before we start cleaning.
What we do
- Checking the computer for malware, adware and unwanted programs
- Restoring browser settings and search engine
- Cleaning up startup programs so it boots quickly again
- Bringing Windows and security updates up to date
- Checking whether the slowness has another cause, such as a full or dying drive
Your files stay put
We never format anything without your explicit permission. In the vast majority of cases reinstalling is not necessary either. If it is the only safe route — with ransomware, for example — we explain why first, and we secure your files before anything happens.
What you can do yourself
Switch the computer off and leave it off until you reach us, certainly if you suspect something has been encrypted. Do not make any payments, even if a message asks for one. And change your passwords only after the device is clean, otherwise they are captured again straight away.
What it costs and how long it takes
Within 3 working days you know what is going on and what it costs. If it stays under 100 euro we carry it out right away.
